The following table contains PDF files each the weekly chlorophyll-a readings
obtained
from every 10 meter depth interval Niskin bottle samples that were filtered
at sea then analyzed
with a fluorometer 21 hours later. The graph's are organized into a single
PDF file per month.

Volunteer's from a group named the Great
Bay Coast Watch has been graciously logging in about 12
hours a week to taxonomically analyze the Lugol's preserved samples. We
are currently building that
database so check in periodically to see if it has been uploaded.
2004:
A new pigment measurement, phaeophytin, was added in March of 2004. Phaeophytin was added to the chlorophyll analysis because the pigment is a digestion product of chlorophyll-a and can be found in the fecal pellets of zooplankton that graze on phytoplankton. Fecal pellets are large enough to be retained on the standard glass fiber filters used in fluorometric analysis.
Furthermore, a new filter type was added to the procedures after March 2004. A larger pore filter was added for the retention of only larger particle greater than 8um. Chlorophyll fluorometric analysis with a larger filter pore in conjunction with the standard filter type will give information regarding the percentage of chlorophyll-a that is coming from larger phytoplankton cells such as diatoms.
